We couldn’t be more excited that the long-awaited Flood Expo is finally here.
We would like to thank those of you who have returned once again and those of you who are attending the Expo for the first time. After a long 2 years we are excited to return to the NEC, Birmingham, and we have taken every possible measure to make this year’s show as safe as possible in line with government guidance.
Flash Flooding has held a prominent place in the news recently. Occurring during intense rainfall when drainage systems are unable to clear the water away quick enough, causing surface water to build. Flash flooding instances have increased across the world causing damage and in some cases casualties. The need for improved flood prediction, prevention and response solutions has never been more vital.
On top of this, the industry has managed this increase in floods throughout the pandemic, which should not go unrecognised in an already unprecedented situation. The industry deserves 2 days dedicated to celebrating their work and commitment to improving flood management.
The Flood Expo is the UK’s largest exhibition designed to help the most progressive flood professionals and property owners discover the latest innovative products, services and strategies that transform the way flooding is predicted, prevented, and managed.
We have been working hard over the last 18+ months to build an event the industry can truly be proud of. Working in partnership with renowned industry associations such as the Environment Agency, ADA and BDMA, the Flood Expo has re-evaluated the needs of the sector, this coupled with feedback from a newly formed advisory board, The Flood Expo aims to provide a platform where the industry can reconnect and celebrate new innovations in flood management.
A highly curated CPD accredited seminar programme spread across 3 theatres welcomes leading minds from the Environment Agency, Forest Research, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, United Nations and Wildlife Trust to name but a few. These experts will be sharing learnings from insightful case studies, discussing the future of flood management and debating insurance and property flood resilience.
